DaKine, Kraken and Puyallup Juniors are excited to host the 1st Annual Presidents' Challenge Volleyball competition over the 3-day weekend in our 3 beautiful facilities. Saturday and Sunday progressive pool play with single elimination championship bracket play on Monday. Every participating team will play on Monday with the last final concluding by 5:00PM. Your team will play 7-9 matches over the course of the weekend against some of the best teams in the Pacific Northwest. With 5 divisions offered there is a place for every team to get in some great competition. Team and Individual prizes for 1st & 2nd places in each championship bracket. Presidents' Challenge apparel will be available for purchase at each venue!

14 courts each for the AM and PM waves. Divisions will flux between 24 and 32 teams based on demand. AM/PM wave assignments will be assigned based on division size.

Team Entry & Payment

$500 thru Jan 15

Team registration is to be completed via AES at the link below. Teams are confirmed on a first come, first paid basis. You can make your team entry fee payment while registering on AES. If you would like to mail a check for your entry, please understand that teams are accepted based on payment received. 
 
  • Regular entry fee rate thru Jan 15
  • $50 late fee rate Jan 16 thru entry deadline
  • $75 team cancellation processing fee after Jan 8
  • Tournament entry fees refundable if cancelled

CANADIAN TEAMS INSTRUCTIONS

We welcome Canadian teams to participate in our tournaments. Canadian teams must prepare to participate by providing the necessary documents required by the Puget Sound Region of USA Volleyball. The region will collect your documents and then inform us when your team is cleared to participate. Please do not procrastinate. The region WILL NOT allow your team to play without proper documentation.

Team and Individual prizes for 1st & 2nd places in each championship bracket. Divisional MVPs will be selected from each bracket and will receive additional awards.

Spectator Gate Fee

Our ability to host spectators will be dictated by restrictions for indoor youth sports at the time of the event. Spectators will be charged gate fee for the weekend. Rate is $10 per day or $25 for weekend pass. Gate is charged for ages 10+.

TEAM AREAS

No team specific areas are planned for this event due to COVID-19. Athletes must social distance when not actively participating in volleyball play. Athletes may keep their backpacks at the team bench during play.

Parking

Make sure to park legally in a lined space meant for a personal vehicle. Parking is free anywhere at the mall.

Food & Drink Policies

CHEWING GUM IS PROHIBITED AT OUR FACILITIES

FIELDHOUSEUSA 

We have a no outside food and drinks policy at Kraken's FieldhouseUSA facility. Athletes may bring a refillable water bottle and make use of the bottle fillers at the water fountains. No food or drinks are allowed on the hardwood courts, water in sealed containers only are allowed in the bleachers or at team benches. The Grubhouse restaurant has an extensive menu of hot and cold food and drinks available for purchase. We also have several vending machines stocked with your favorite cold drinks. Food and drinks must be consumed on the concourses and in designated areas only. Parents / spectators must adhere to all food and drink policies. 13 point penalty applies.
